This is one of the most beautiful churches in the the Archdiocese. Wooden hand crafted altars from Germany. It is definitely worth a stop to see it's stunning interior.
If you have not had the opportunity to visit this church, please put it in your things to do, places to go. I grew up in the area but nothing is as breathtaking as this beautiful church. Built in 1887, the craftsmanship and many many hours spent carving the wood for the alter is visible in the beauty of the dark deeply intricate, detailed massive alter. The wood gleams, becons you to it and will take your breath away. The peace you will feel and awe of the presence of Jesus is understandably hard to explain. When you see the inside you will feel as if you have walked into a cathedral in Rome, when it is a little small town in New HOPE Kentucky.. Go see it, the doors are always open!
